Voting Information

  • On Election Day, voters must go to their designated polling location based on their registered precinct.
  • Registered voters may vote at any polling site during the EARLY voting period.
  • Early voting will be April 24-29 and May 1-2. Election Day is May 6.
  • You must be registered to vote at least 30 days prior to May 6, 2017, Election Day. To participate in this election, the deadline to register is April 6, 2017. To verify your voting registration status, visit the Texas Secretary of State website.

  • Texas now requires a photo ID in order to vote. For more information visit the Vote Texas website.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE:
THURSDAY, APRIL 6, 2017

Voters are now required to present an approved form of photo ID:

  • Texas driver license issue by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  • Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
  • Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
  • United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
  • United States passport
